MISC: Perhaps the most detailed back story of any NABC ale. Began as a home garage homebrewing experiment on Super Bowl Sunday, then was taken to Cumberland Brews (Louisville brewpub) for two commercial batches, and finally was brewed by original brewer Michael Borchers at NABC in late 2002 for release on Super Bowl Sunday, 2003. A version with all-German hops and heightened gravity was brewed by Borchers for Gravity Head, 2005. Called NobleSmoker, it has supplanted the beginning ConeSmoker recipe, and has now become ConeSmoker. Again.
